in the foreground, off to the left as facing = haystack, with (not so) little haystack being the "knob" just to the right.

and obviously the perspective of the pix = a "you are here" which happened to be a smidge prior to the summit of basin.

a nice little ridge run, i'd say! with saddleback yet to get on over. as mentioned. a long walk indeed.

and notice the clouds rolling in. yup. at right about this point i began to realize that things were gonna get interesting.
